Happiness is...

...coming home from the airport after a tiring trip and sinking into a comfortable chair with a steaming cup in hand, catching up on the Emails from over the weekend.

Yup, returning home after a long trip is the most wonderful feeling anyone can get. Then the effect wears down after few days, and you wish you were away again to enjoy the same feeling when you return back ;)

Lol, after reading these lines the first thing I thought was, wouldn't it be more bliss if instead of steaming cup there was a glass of cold water??

Ha! But then it strikes me you're not in India!! It's HOT here!!

@Dhanya
Actually it wasn't a very long trip...just for three days; but it was tiring.

@Darshan
Yeah, I can imagine!
Here, today it was 13degrees in the afternoon...evenings even colder. So steaming cups are much more fun for me.
:D

happiness is when you stand and look up in the sky, and the first drop of rain falls on your face.

it when you go to bed and you sleep so peacefully that no thought of a catastrophe can wake you up.

it when you think everyone forgot your b'day but they end up givin u a surprise party.

this list is a never ending one... it'sjus dat we should try to find happiness in everythinh... afterall this world is too small a place - and life too small to stay sad!!!!

Ok...here we go again.....(steaming) Coffeee (in a cupppu).... pottu (made) kuduthathu yaaru (by whom?!)...

u see... me and (most probably also)Rayees has become so negative (or lazy) that the first thing comes on to our mind on entering home is "ahhh....won't it be nice that someone is there holding out a hot cup of coffee?!"....

so now with my explanation, u don't have any choice but to confess!

@Aersh

You're absolutely right!
Happiness is whatever we make of it. Indeed being alive to experience it all is the fundamental happiness.
Unfortunately our lives have become so preoccupied that we fail to see it, unless it happens on one tired evening.

@Ela

Oh...okay! :D
When I read that, it sounded to me like yaaru (who) pottu kuduthathu (exposed you) , as in made you the fall guy.
That's why I was confused.

As for the coffee; unfortunately I need to make it myself...and do the dishes afterwards too.
:(
Otherwise, my roommate starts to complain...

p.s. I AM hoping that will change soon though! *wink*

Why so down in life?

"Happiness" the word reminds me of "Pursuit of Happiness" movie. But at times relaxing on a chair, reading some good books, and checking out blogs and reading the comment also gives a smile in me. Actually sinking in chair with a cup of coffee. This kind of happiness I get every day. 2 hours hard workout in gym and comeback to room having a glass ice water in one hand and eating banana with it. God, so relaxing... I know, how you have enjoyed the cup of coffe.

@Siva
Pursuit of Happyness was one of the best movies I've ever seen.

And like you gym routine...the best happiness in life mostly comes from simple, ordinary things.

@Mad Blogger
Thx...and nice of you to drop by!
